About

Making carbon capture simpler, cheaper, and electrified.

Founded in 2018, Hovyu is a Dutch company focused on the development and implementation of CO₂-capture processes. We believe carbon capture is an essential tool for reaching the climate goals — so we invest in innovative, electrified capture concepts that reduce the cost and complexity of the process.

Where we work

An international footprint.

Projects carried out across five countries — from our home base in the Netherlands to campaigns and plants across Europe and Brazil.

  • NetherlandsHQ

Headquarters in Rijswijk — home of the team and the pilot fleet.

  • Portugal

First CO₂-capture pilot in the country, at the Valorsul waste-to-energy plant.

  • Spain

CO₂-capture plant on the natural-gas boilers of Barcelona Airport, with Aena.

  • Norway

    Gas-treating and capture project experience.

  • Brazil

Capture and gas-treating projects in South America.
